At the upcoming 2016 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill and Ecosystem Science (GOMOSES) conference, the Science Program will display a poster as part of the Gulf programs section of the Tuesday, February 2, 5:15 – 7:30 PM poster session. During the session, several of the Gulf of Mexico science and restoration programs established following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill will present posters on their programs and have representatives available to answer questions. In addition to the NOAA RESTORE Science Program, the programs that will be participating include the National Academies of Science’s Gulf Research Program, Florida RESTORE Act Centers of Excellence Program, RESTORE Act Center of Excellence for Louisiana, Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council, and Natural Resources Damage Assessment. A calendar outlining funding opportunities for each program over the next three years will be available as well.
Representatives from the Science Program will be available throughout the conference to answer questions about the program’s next funding opportunity and the direction of the program. Information on the Science Program will also be available at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) table.
