1 OPEN-GRP Science Policy Fellowships OPEN-GRP Science Policy Fellowships November 1, 2023 The Gulf Research Program’s Science Policy Fellowship program helps scientists hone their skills by putting them to practice for the benefit of Gulf Coast communities and ecosystems. Fellows gain first-hand experience as they spend one year on the staff of federal, state, local, or non-governmental environmental, natural resource, oil and gas, and public health agencies in the Gulf of Mexico region. All application materials, including the letters of recommendation, must be submitted through our by February 7, 2024, at 5:00 PM ET. 15 OPEN-Synthesis Working Groups & Postdoctoral Research OPEN-Synthesis Working Groups & Postdoctoral Research November 15, 2023 Topic: Scientific synthesis focused on the use of large datasets by multidisciplinary teams to gain new insights into ecological processes in the Gulf of Mexico Release Date: November 15, 2023 Amount: Approximately $250,000 will be made available to support two working groups. Length of Awards: 2 years Number of Awards: ~3 projects Letter of Intent Required: No Full Proposal Deadline: March 15, 2024 Eligibility: Researchers and practitioners of any nationality affiliated with an academic, governmental agency, multilateral, nonprofit, or private institution may submit a proposal.
