Given the impact of Hurricane Ian on the Gulf coast, the Science Program has extended the deadline for full proposals to its current competition until November 30, 2022. This 15-day extension will allow institutions in areas affected by the storm to appropriately focus on near-term recovery in the days ahead.
Our thoughts are with those who were impacted by the storm and those who are participating in recovery activities.
This funding opportunity supports the co-production of actionable science by providing funding to established teams of researchers, natural resource managers, and stakeholders to collaboratively carry out a previously planned (i.e., scoped and designed) research project and apply its findings and products to a future natural resource management decision. To be eligible to submit a full application, project teams must have submitted a letter of intent by August 16, 2022.
If you have additional questions about this extension, please do not hesitate to contact the Science Program at noaarestorescience@noaa.gov.
